TokuToku Matcha

Identity design and naming for TokuToku, a professional matcha house established in 2018 in Taichung, Taiwan with a soul from Kyoto, Japan.

Toku-Toku represents the sound of water when it's flowing into the teapot. This is also one of the steps of making a Japanese Matcha in a tea house.

The logo was inspired by the architecture structure which is a low ceiling old house including two large square windows.

Moreover, to add some Japanese culture - wabi-sabi flavor, a delicate hand-drawing teaspoon was placed in the house.
